How do I know if I qualify to lower my electric bill?

  • EVERYONE with an Illinois electric account qualifies and can enroll. There are NO credit checks and no one will ask you about your credit.

How do I sign up for a lower electric bill?

  • Signing up is simple and will take less than 5 minutes. Sign up now.
  • Grab your electric bill and follow the prompts. You will need your 10 digit ComEd or Ameren account number located at the top of your bill – Click Here to view sample bill. Our trusted partner, Integrys, needs the account number so they can inform and coordinate the switch with your utility company.
  • Once you’ve signed up you will receive an email confirming receipt of your enrollment request. Terms and conditions will be included in the email as well.
  • You will receive an email from Integrys indicating that you have been accepted along with written notification from you current utility company confirming the change in provider.

When do the changes go into effect?

  • Your change to Integrys through Hope Energy will take effect within 30 to 45 days after enrollment.
  • Your first utility bill reflecting your switch will arrive approximately 60 days after enrollment.

My bill looks the same. Why hasn’t it changed?

  • You will still continue to receive your bills from ComEd or Ameren, however under electricity supply you will see your new lower rate from Integrys. Click Here to see what a sample bill will look like. And you can continue to use the same convenient billing methods you have always have used.

I want to sign up my parents’ house / kid’s apartment / etc. Can I sign up for them?

  • You can enroll for someone else if they have so entrusted you to do so. Again all you needs is their ComEd or Ameren 10-digit account number along with name and address.

Do I have to call and cancel my current supplier?

  • No, you do not need to contact your current supplier. Integrys will facilitate a seamless transition which means you will never have a lapse in electricity supply.

I still have a bill for ComEd that I haven’t paid. Can I still switch to a an alternative energy provider?

  • You can still switch from ComEd even if you have an outstanding balance with your current utility however that balance will still be owed to the utility. If you balance remains outstanding you will be in danger of being disconnected no matter who your supplier is. It’s recommended that you clear up any outstanding balances.

  • If you have an outstanding balance with Ameren you won’t be able to switch until you’ve paid that balance.

Who do I contact in the event of a power outage?

  • Your local utility company still handles the delivery of your power no matter who your supplier maybe. They own all the infrastructure and will still facilitate any repairs needed to get power back up and running.

Will my electricity be interrupted during the switch?

  • You electricity will NOT be interrupted at any time during this process. The only difference you will notice is that your new, lower supply rate will be from Integrys.
